Jim was raised in Audubon and has resided in town with his wife, Samantha, and three children (James, 7, Eleanora, 5 and Jackson, 5) since 2013. He has been serving on the Board since 2016 and currently serves as the President of the Board of Education.

Jim holds a bachelor’s degree in History and a master’s degree in Education, both from Rutgers University, and has been teaching history at Sterling High School since 2005. While teaching at Sterling, he has coached cross-country and track, supervised student government, served as President of the SEA, overseen several curriculum revisions, served as a teaching mentor, negotiated contracts, and helped create budgets.  

Jim has committed his career and a large part of his life to public education and believes that his commitment to civic participation and community service, along with his knowledge of learning and compassion for children will help propel our school district toward educational excellence and create a strong sense of community in Audubon.
